Local artisans Ruggero and Daniele Mameli reproduce them respecting tradition. They have been doing this work since the 70s and their masks not only denote precision and good craftsmanship, but also artistic taste, giving these objects the value of a unique piece, totally handmade. For the execution of these artefacts, they use different qualities of wood: wild pear, fig, alder, holm oak, chestnut, cherry and various other precious woods, in order to respond to the needs and tastes of the applicant, in the most rigorous respect of tradition .

The mask to be worn must be light and easily mouldable, while the decorative one, to hang on the wall, can be heavier and is generally made with more precious woods, given the exhibition purpose. In the Mameli laboratory there are masks of all types. The quality of the wood varies, as does the heaviness, the colour, the finishing, but all are carried out with absolute respect for local tradition, replicating the same motifs used by the ancestors who in turn repeated models from distant generations. In compliance with these models, the mamuthone mask is reproduced as it was used about two centuries ago.
To protect the origin and authenticity, Ruggero Mameli's masks are all marked with a brand with the writing "MAMUTHONES-MAMELI-MAMOIADA".
